So Ammos is my go-to neighborhood spot, and I usually love it. I've never had any issues until tonight. Half of my delivery was incorrect, even though I order the same thing two or three times a week. I called to let them know they mixed up my order, and the owner said no problem—just come back and we’ll fix it.
I went back, feeling frustrated about their mistake. When I arrived, the owner was asking for the other order because someone was waiting for it. In other words, Ammos Grill was trying to serve me a meal that had already been prepared for someone else, which is a clear violation of health codes. Unbelievable! You've just lost a loyal customer. I always order the chicken shawarma from this place, and out of all the options I've sampled in Phoenix, this is by far the best. I typically have it delivered, and it still arrives piping hot and fresh. The chicken is unbeatable, and their tzatziki sauce is the best I've ever tasted—it's always freshly made! I indulge in this at least three times a week, and I've never had a bad experience.
I recently visited Arizona to see my bff....he took me to this restaurant where we had some amazing chicken gyros. So yummy I loved it! The man at the front also from my hometown NY brooklyn to be precise?.....was so inviting and sweet. I didnt get his name but now I wish I did.lol I would definetly come back for that delicious gyro and great service.
I'm not sure what's going on with this restaurant. They seem to close earlier and earlier each day, even though their sign clearly states they close at 8 PM. On top of that, they frequently get my order wrong. Over the past six months, the quality has seriously declined. It’s disappointing because it used to be one of my favorite spots.

The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the Mediterranean food is fresh and delightful. The owner and staff are fantastic—extremely friendly and courteous. This place is my top choice for gyros and chicken shawarma. Food rating: 5/5.
Great employees and great food. Tried their Greek gyros for the first time the other day and they were surprisingly good. I didn't even know that I liked Greek food till that day.
The owner here is so nice he doesn't rip off his employees or customers and then spread lies about them. He's also not a cheap jerk. The food here is so good too.
YUMMY!! This time gyros with Greek salad. Their fries and perfect! Crispy but not over cooked. Their food is sooo good, well worth going. Staff is amazing too.
