Anjelica's - Table reservation

I am always amazed that people will favor a particular eatery over another for no other reason than the size of the crowd or the difficulty in getting a reservation. Tragically, there is an army of lemmings out there who fall for these obvious deceptions. Such was the case with our dining experience at Angelica 's last Friday evening so, let 's begin. After a one month wait to get a table AND the rule of losing my reservation should I be a mere 15min. late, I entered. My first observation, there were WAY too many tables both inside and out. This place is very pretty, especially at night with the light strings outside (actually, in-between the buildings). The wait staff are wonderful, very friendly, and extremely attentive. The place was very clean and updated all the way. The food was.... ok. Not bad, but not spectacular. I'm sure they're consistent and detail orientated with plating, so if you send up loving the food you're in luck if you live close by. For me, I enjoyed visiting once, but don't need to fight for a reservation again. The halibut special was pretty and filling, but was lacking something special. We celebrated a special event here as well as patrons of Anjelica’s for many years. They are an amazing collection of people with spectacular food. PLUS BYOB

The food was incredible however the desserts left much to be desired. Would still eat here again as the fish and pastas were delicious
