I?m sorry to say what a disappointment this restaurant has become. Always pricey for what it offered this last visit showed an all time low. The impossible burger that I ordered plain and on different bread arrived on 1 slice of bread cut in half and the burger was half the size as it used to be still full price. They could have used the 2nd slice of bread to complete the sandwich to offer with the soup I ordered which arrived 20 minutes after ordering bread needed to be ordered separately at an additional price. ? what? With soup? All the food came at once and the pastry was forgotten. I had to walk inside to ask. It was quoted w/o nuts (which I am allergic) it contained nuts. Which I disco...
Cafes have a culture, and this one is not terribly inviting. You can see it immediately in the mostly miserable staff (of course, there's an exception or two), but then it all makes sense when you watch their senior management. They too just don't seem to like people. I get a couple of drinks each time I go there in an attempt to offset the contempt for laptops, I tip, and I keep my stay relatively short and confined to their laptop only areas. I was recommended this restaurant by several friends, but each time I have visited, the staff has appeared unhappy with their work environment. The atmosphere is not rushed like in Brooklyn. The coffee is good, but the breakfast I had was plain and lacking flavor for the price. The biscuits were not good and when we asked to swap them for another pastry, we were given more bad biscuits with a lot of attitude. The restaurant is cute, but I consistently have had a negative experience with the staff. I would recommend going to Bloom, Power Plant, or Green Table for a friendlier environment and delicious açaí bowls.
in a city that kills all old and only builds boring things on the head, it is great to come to a place that rejects it. the caffe takes an old industrial building (I think a truck / car repair shop) and it is nice. laptops are prohibited in most areas, and totally during the weekend this is a place to meet and interact with people. the food and the coffee is great, and in the evening it is about to serve various foods and alcoholic beverages. I love coming here. the only disadvantage is the neighborhood that is not bad, but there is little to do here. So you're coming to pop and that's really it.

The pastries at this restaurant are incredibly fresh. I highly recommend trying the cinnamon roll or the Blueberry Morning Roll, as both were very moist. The coffee was also good, and I don't think most people would have any complaints about the service or food here. There are about 8 parking spots available outside on the road, and there is plenty of seating inside, although it can get crowded. Additionally, there are 4 tables available for outdoor seating in the shade.
I ordered the French toast and was disappointed because it tasted like regular toast, despite the excellent presentation. The orange juice was fresh and delicious. My friend enjoyed his meal of eggs, bacon, and biscuits, as well as his iced coffee. The music was good, the atmosphere was friendly, and the staff were also friendly. I would consider giving this place another try.
Excellent coffee drinks, and breakfast choices to satisfy anyone, including folks with dietary restrictions. We?re from the Midwest, and it?s our go-to place in LA. The staff are welcoming and efficient, and the decor is funky?almost museum-like. Oh, and the food is really, really good!
I love this place! jimmy, the owner, is very famous for coffee. we tried the eggs waffel in hong Kong style, curry fish meatball and mango sticky rice with condensed milk. the food was very tasty and made me feel at home. highly recommended durian coffee and coco coffee.

Love this place! Great fresh food and good tea. Love all the outdoor seating. Staff is friendly. Only downside is there are *always* people smoking at the bench in the outside area which blows right over the whole patio. Nonetheless a local fave for sure.
Great food, fun vibe. I may give it five stars after I try a different coffee drink. The iced lattes had way too little espresso for their size.
