On Friday, June 10th at 11pm, I brought a group of 14 friends to this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The hamburger patties were greasy, the chicken strips were overcooked and tough, and the pasta dishes we ordered were overcooked and didn't taste good. As we were leaving, one of my friends accidentally took the bill that he had signed. The server came out to ask for the bill back, and when my friend returned it, she asked if he was going to leave a tip. He didn't understand English well and just said OK. I finally decided to comment, hopefully the owner or manager reads this. My favorite things at Applebees are the soft pretzels, and the bourbon chicken and shrimp. I actually think they have decent affordable food. The staff is always nice and attentive.The only thing that makes me not want to come back is the cleanliness issue.The carpet floor is disgusting. Like nobody ever did a deep cleaning since the restaurant was open (this is in several applebees, not just the one in carrollwood). The service at this restaurant was good, but the food was not tasty or cooked properly. What was supposed to be a quick lunch of a hamburger, French fries, and a small order of wings turned into a two-hour ordeal. We spent a lot of time waiting for our food. At the beginning of the meal, we were attended to by three people - the host, a waitress, and the manager. However, during and twenty minutes after the meal, we couldn't find anyone to help us with refills or to bring us the bill. It was frustrating, especially when there are other places that provide better service.
absolutely disgusting, raw infested kitchen, sloppy presentation and berth like flourtau throughout the restaurant. nasty bathroom and bad chefs who never use gloves or know anything about cross-contamination! the chefs use the bathroom and do not wash the hands!
