After checking out a few restaurants near to the Rouen Mercure we settled on the Ariana because we liked the look of the menu. The staff were super-friendly and made us all welcome. The menu was relatively limited, but we managed to select something that everyone liked (including my three daughters - 4, 10 & 13). When the food came we were thrilled. Each plate had been carefully put together with a wonderful mixture of flavours. The meat (all of which had been cooked on a skewer) was tasty and lightly spiced and the sauces were all just right. Great restaurant of Afghan specialties, gastronomy that was so far unknown to me and I was not disappointed. The manager was really nice and welcoming, the delicious food. We chose a tasting menu at the price of 27.5 euros per person (we were two) and everything was wonderful. I discovered a tasty and spicy cuisine, precisely dominated in all points. I'll be back for sure!
We arrived in Rouen and had no idea where to eat so started off at a Pub Alexander for 2 drinks. The waitress suggested Ariana restaurant Rouen and true to her word it was magnifique. The service was good and the explanation .... or I should say the translation.... was spot on. The meal was amazing and hit the spot for 2 weary travelers seeking excellent food.
The food is okay but it does not deserve the excellent comments it deserves. The rice is undercooked and the sambosas too dry.The staff was rude saying "whadya want ?" to me when I entered the restaurant.We also didn't get a menu.I wouldn't recommend it as a first experience with afghan food.I would give it 2,5/5 but I can't.

We celebrated the Persian New Year in this restaurant, they were very friendly and accessible and the dish was very good too.
