We ordered from Aroma for the first time in quite a while and were very disappointed. Previously the food was always perfect and I would have described it as the best Chinese I had ever had, but now it is the worst. The ingredients seem...to have changed, squid was really oily and not cooked properly. Crispy shredded beef was soggy and the sauce was not right. Have they changed owners or have the original owners gone away? I will not be going back, which is a shame.
This restaurant was really good when it first opened, but it went downhill and received a 1-star hygiene rating. I avoided it until they improved and got back to 4 stars. However, my most recent visit will be my last for the foreseeable future. The vegetarian "chicken" looked more like a piece of gristle and skin, so we didn't even eat it. The rest of our order was barely warm after a 2-minute drive home. I'm sorry, but that is not acceptable.
Always go here as it is my local Chinese. Great portions. Good weekday deals also for meal choices including set menu for less than £10. Staff are friendly. We never have to wait too long either. Food is always fresh and the king prawns in...the fried rice are huge! The dumplings are also very good. Free prawn crackers are always offered. Would recommend a visit for a good Chinese! My friend always gets chilli beef and says it’s amazing!
This restaurant seems to operate on a cash-only basis, as indicated by signs requesting customers to bring money. However, despite claims of not accepting cards, we observed one customer paying with a card. Additionally, we were surprised to be charged an extra fee for using a card, which we found to be rude. Despite these issues, the service was satisfactory and the food was enjoyable. Book a table now
Had a take away from here Sunday 27th August £19.00 very expensive for what we had and it was disgusting food very bland and tasteless will not have a takeaway from here again it used to be very nice. We will stick to...Kings on Cannon Street in the future.
Tried Aroma again hoping it was back to its best. I was wrong not good at all, prices increased, portion sizes reduced, will only take cash!? Not only that the food quality was poor. I will be looking for another Chinese I’m afraid. Gutted
We have all tried different dishes at this restaurant, and now we only return when we find one we really like and order it again, knowing it will be just as good as before. What more could we ask for?

Not that nice. The serving person is rude. The food is not the best there are more bean shoots than Noodles in the Chow mien. Better one in the area.
