Ask Italian - Table reservation

Visited Sunday 21/04/2024 at midday. Had garlic bread starter which I shared with my wife and we both agreed it was one of the nicest we’ve had. Tried the meatball piccante and my wife had the gnocchi for our mains. All good. Though initially my pasta seemed cold but it hadn’t been well mixed with the meatball sauce which was hot. Overall though we both enjoyed the mains. For dessert my wife had the caramel sundae which was really good. I tried the pistachio and raspberry tart, which was ok but dry without any cream or ice cream. So that was a little disappointing but overall, not a bad meal. The food is delicious and just the right amount. In the mid-range, cost wise. The 2 reasons for the 3 are the toilets have obviously been flooded at some point because there was a musty smell and they were sub-standard. And the other reason is even though 2 of our servers were very attentive and polite, the guy that gave us the bill came across arrogant and annoyed that we paid separately and that we refused to pay the service charge £16) But despite that, I will go back again.

We were served by a waiter called Jack who was very presentable and efficient. He was very polite and made the whole experience very pleasant. The restaurant was clean and well kept and the food was well presented and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Good lasagne (piping hot) and reasonably good tiramisu. Service very good (although very few customers present). Only criticism would be failure to remove dirty dishes (more than once).

Jacques and the girls are an amazing team! Food was super and felt looked after the whole time i was there! Would recommend for both lunch and dinner
