Me and my wife Visited this great wee place on a recent visit to France based on a friends recommendation who knew that we where visiting this area and I must say that we are so glad that we did as it turned out to be one of the best days of our trip!We arrived mid afternoon and although there was a buzz about the place is was not too crowded and we easily managed to get a spot in the shaded part of the garden. The service was quick and efficient with a good choice of traditional food on the menu.I ordered the Duck and my wife ordered the stake tartare along with a nice bottle of wine and some nibbels on the side and all where excellent and we even had the owners themselves come over to make...
We discovered this jewel of a bistro while travelling to Troyes often for business. Its atmosphere is modern, with citrus colors, newspaper-covered columns and photos of different performing artists on the wall. The staff is friendly, attentive and even recognized us on our second visit, which is always appreciated. The menu is varied, with daily specials and a lunch formula for rapid dining. I recommend the accra dish to share while waiting for your meal. I have tried the steak, the carpaccio and the fish and all were delicious. Au Bistro is my favourite place to eat in Troyes because of the overall atmosphere and delicious menu. I was blown away when I are here again recently. The menu is original and yet sophisticated, served by excellent staff who are knowledgable, funny and fast. The attention to detail for the food is something very hard to find. The plates are filling, photogenic works of Art. I will be talking about the strawberry Gaspatcho desert for a very long time. There is also a beautiful garden out the back, a beautiful bar (Try the keir!) and frequent singers which are fantastic.
Je vais au bistro plusieurs fois par an et jamais déçu ! Entre l’accueil, le service, la cuisine et le cadre … l’endroit est parfait pour un Petit moment en tête à tête ou entres amis. Une terrasse magnifique qui donne un goût de vacances ! Avec les membres de l’équipe du bistro toujours souriant et agréable renforçant le Petit goût d’évasion vacances !. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Le Brasero original c’est orignal ! Et Il y a longtemps que je n’avais pas manger une cote de bœuf maturé avec ce goût ! I have been in this restaurant during a business trip. I was lookibg for a good spot to eat something and I have then trusted the judgements on TripAd... What a deception, I do not understand how this place had 4 stars! I had a carpaccio that was swimming in a lake of olive oil, a tasteless green salad, vanilla and strawberry icecream and half a bottle of water for 27.5 €! The place us nice with a pleasant garden where you can eat, waiters are kind and nice. A part from that, not recommended.
Nous y sommes allés en soirée à l'ouverture en regrettant le choix proposé d'une petite table à l'intérieur comme le temps était nuageux !! Vu chauffage d'appoint sur la terrasse par la suite avec d'autres clients!! Nous avons fait le choix de cromesquis à partager ; c'est bon mais un peu trop coulants! les plats et desserts sont copieux , mais sans originalité! Nous choisirons une meilleure date pour tester le braséro .
Great ambiance, great happy, friendly customer service, and they even have some great concerts on the evenings. The lunch time menu is very good, and often changes, and it is great value! The evening/weekend menu is also fab!The secret garden at the back is beautiful, and is warm, as it is sheltered from the wind.We will definately go back to this place!
Good adress but a little bit expensive. Thé food is high quality and thé service is nice.I recommand or for all thé people Who look for à traditionnal french meal
