Whilst exploring the Bas Rhine region of Alsace I had the opportunity to eat at several restaurants in the region. The Au bord du Rhin was a pretty restaurant with a bar and outdoor terrace. The three staff who served me were very attentive and...friendly, recommending local dishes and seafood (apparently their speciality, which makes sense given their location). The food was well prepared and presented, and the serving size was sufficient. I enjoyed the taste and freshness/quality here a lot more than several other local restaurants I tried here this week. The atmosphere was relaxed and the background music at a subtle level ensure conversation was possible. As the name suggests sits adjace...
We come every year with our boat and muillons in the lake and look forward to visiting the restaurant on the edge of the rhine in the evening. Unfortunately, it has now changed! food is now without imagination - underground quality - gigantic prices. We are frankly disappointed. the terrace poorly maintained, dilapidated - there are still the leaves of last autumn! the number of guests also shows that we are not the only ones to consider returning.
We stopped here for some lunchtime during a hot Saturday lunchtime in August. The tables outside were mostly reserved but madame managed to find us a table outside. In popular times it is certainly worth booking. The menu is varied with a good selection of...dishes there are also various suggestions of the day. We both opted for the Salad Gourmand and a glass of local wine both were excellent. We will certainly be back.
The restaurant is direct at the bank of the river Rhine where you can watch the cruising vessels. The menue offers a wide selection of traditional and modern French dishes. The wine list is also very good. The food is fresh cooked in best quality...and perfect taste. The service is very friendly. The portions are really big and value for money even when it is not a cheap restaurant. Will come back here soon.

Now here is a place you can sit back relax and enjoy the best escargots EVER the frog legs with cream sauce are absolutely delicious . There desserts are sinfully satisfying. After all these calories take a nice long walk along the Rhine and enjoy...the weather people and scenery
Food is always exquisite, and the service is usually excellent, but real. And last but not least, the location is great next to the river, in the shade of the trees. They even served us outside once when (due to corona) we decided to eat...outside
each year we go to this restaurant 1-2 times (100km). It was always very good. But this time it wasn't a good idea. We will not return to this restaurant either. and this for a price of 225 .-€ (4 people)
A nice restaurant with tables to sit outside if the weather is fine; the view is fantastic: just across the Rhine river you can see Germany.
