It was pretty cold for us to have to keep our coats, but it's not a place to relax, just to eat good seafood. service was fast and efficient, the oyster opening area is within reach of most tables. oysters are served only with lemon, because oysters were the main component of the meal we ate, tabasco would be good but it is probably not French. the gambas flambées au calvados were served in an unexpected creamy soup according to the menu description. We were recommended by the same person who recommended cantorbery to dinan. It was amazing. canal oysters are known worldwide. People talk about eating them on the pier, but we really wanted a comfortable place to sit down. This place was held by two women. They were speaking less English than French, but their attention to us and our needs was incredible. we started with a dozen oysters #4 and finished with a fried mussel and apple order. what was really appreciated is how, without asking, they brought us plates and service utensils for oysters and mussels, even if both were ordered as unique dishes.
In fact our dinner was very pleasant, we had the chance to eat on the balcony (only two tables available) it was beautiful and the view on the bay and the beautiful port. I took a crustacean plate and the only reason why I gave only an average score is it because there were many bushes (snails, fats) I would have preferred more esters, shrimps, etc. a advice I might not know when I ordered is that apparently you could welcome your plate according to your preferences. Good to know. the nutmeg (first price at 12 euros the bottle) was excellent!
We came to get the oysters and we all found them there. from the flat horse foot to the hollow, from the gigantic no' 00 to the big enough no' 3. they were brought a few hours earlier, all fresh and ready to continue their 3-year long life. we took both types, both sizes, 00 and 1 (the last is better), a white soap out of price, lots of lemon and went to work. half an hour later, we left him $50, whose wine took a third. spectacular. the reason why we drive so far and reach this village. service with smile, oyster of another planet.

It's really a pearl, a real little seafood restaurant on the edge of the harbour. We had a seafood tray, a plate full of seafood. perfectly fresh and very tasty. We enjoyed every small oyster, shell, shrimp and crab. the family that manages the restaurant is very friendly and offers excellent atmosphere and excellent service. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you want authentic seafood.
cancale is a very beautiful city - very atmospheric and authentic. we walked along the dock and we walked in this place - we took some drinks of muskadet and very fresh oysters. I can't say that oysters were better than others we enjoyed along the Breton coast, but they were very good and prices were reasonable.
I went there for lunch and I had 12 oysters no.2, three times cream molds with fries and twice shrimp, half a nutmeg bottle and non-alcoholic drinks for 102 €, - everything was really fresh and well done. the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed even if they were very busy.
You've got the shell tower. It was excellent. crab, shrimp, clams, oysters, bulots and snails. I think it was about 28 euros per person at noon. You really need to. quickly served. delicious. beautiful views of the second floor. strongly recommends.

My mother and I have eaten very well in this place. we had only basic French but we ordered a wonderful seafood feast, so fresh. very rustic, felt very authentic. nice.
