we went to the barn by accepting that the owner was a "personage", but we expected to get good quality food. What shock we got. food could be very nicely described as a basic home kitchen and the owner seemed much more concerned about his performance of "look at me" than providing any type of service to his customers. When we went into the restaurant and asked for a table for two, we were told loudly and with the arms renounced, sit there. not "how would you like to sit here" or "would this table go well?" "Sit here" and he walks away. no menu provided - there is no menu, just a table at the bottom of the stairs leading to the restaurant. two choices for entry and two for main dish. no attem...

We were guided to this little restaurant jewel by our good friends. we were looking forward to a good lunch and we were not disappointed. When we arrived, we chose to sit on the terrace outside, but we quickly changed our mind because time was not too good. passing to a table inside was not a problem; Actually, nothing was too much for the owner. Once installed, we were presented with a hot soup supper and a choice of ham crudities or terrine - delicious as well. the main dishes were duck served with noodles or a pig fillet with dauphinois potatoes. All were again delicious. Were our plates riddled that a large plate of four local cheeses was presented to us. We have enjoyed them very much....

I've found this restaurant by chance, walking around in that. very well located, next to the river and - at least from the outside - a good view on a quick-flow outlet. attracted by the formula that suggested three dishes for 15 euros, we thought we would try. the inside was a little basic with a seemingly sudden boss, but below was a golden heart. First of all, there was a very hot vegetable soup supper and homemade to share, even if it was necessary to be quick to grab a full ladle before the soup was carried away. accompanied by a tasty rustic bread, it was an excellent introduction. the menu itself consisted of a choice of charcuterie followed by a pork roast or lamb, we chose the lamb t...

Over the past 12 years, we have been here a few times. Although you can never describe it as a gastronomic experience, the food is authentically rustic French, the setting on the shaded terrace of the 1st floor overlooking the lot river is very pleasant and the entertaining boss, alain, largely compensates the flaws. I read the strange critic referring to a mediocre service, but in fact, for a husband and wife team, it is very effective and the more you advance in your meal, the more fun it is. This is not an appropriate place for too serious people, but we have taken several friends/relations over the years and they all enjoyed it. Today, we had my young nephew with us and he was impressed... Book a table now

very pleasant and romantic place next to the lot river and the cathedral. It looks like a place in the last scene of the disney ratatouille film. all dishes were excellent, including meals, that children usually do not eat. I really had the feeling that we enjoyed a typical French cuisine made home. there is only one point to improve - we met three people of staff. - first of all was a very sweet young woman, she did everything to make our stay really enjoyable. - the very nice was a moment, where the chief came to ask us about quality and wish us a "good appetite". - unfortunately, we didn't have a very good feeling of owner – a certain feeling of "you must be pressed" and "don't bother me...

We fell on this little restaurant jewel during our first visit to cahors. It was lunchtime and we thought we made a big mistake. the boss has a very sudden way and is, at the beginning, quite scary. We were welcomed and a large soup pot was then tabled without ceremony on our table with a ladle so that we could serve ourselves. it turned out, however, that the soup was delicious and the rest of the meal was healthy and a good value for money. there was certainly a lot of food and the boss and his wife are both very nice people. If you want to experience the real French house cuisine without rigging, this is the place to go.

I've been in this restaurant for several years and I love the atmosphere. Where can you find a good French cuisine at lunchtime, with an exquisite French spirit and goodhommie? You need a good sense of humor and a strong self-esteem to appreciate the boss, who is a "mass" character; You love it or hate it instantly. I will see people: most customers are visibly confused and shocked by the way the owner seems to treat people, with fear and admiration when they realize the number of customers who return regularly. Don't go if you're a sour cat, you have to sit down and enjoy. Oh, and the food is good too!

I visited most of the last 10 summers and I did it again this year. identical format but the owners have changed. menu now defined but wine not included. rather pleasant but without the character he had with the previous owners. food was generally good but seemed to be a reduced choice, especially in desserts, and no soup input. We chose the main fish and were confronted with a bowl of potato purée. apparently with cod and garlic in purée but nothing else. No vegetables or salad. quite tasty but not really enough or good value for money. disappointing. Book a table now

the owner is a real character very polite but direct, without cracks. food was correct, 4 dishes 2 choices for the main dish, meat or fish when we went there, no other description of the owner who, I think, does not speak English. Very entertaining evening but don't expect high-class cuisine, simpler French.
