This Restaurant was recommended to us, by the Owners of Cote Sud, where we were staying. It is quite a haul up to the Auberge from the lower part of Troo, via a series of steps and steep paths, but the struggle was well worth it! The Formula 3 Course Menu at just over 16 Euros was well priced and the choice varied. All the dishes presented were beautifully prepared and we enjoyed them all. The local wine that we chose Coteaux du Vendomois Rose, from the nearby Domaine du Four a Chaux Winery was wonderful. This small restaurant was a most welcome find. After a long climb up the steep hill of Troo we decided to have lunch here and were glad we did. Very pleasant room, owner, and the food was excellent. Not expensive, 16.50 euro for three courses, with varied choices. Wine list was very nice, inexpensive and appropriate for the restaurant. If you expect too much from a place like this you will be disappointed. Very worthwhile and we would surely go there again given the opportunity.
We had a nice dinner at this quirky place. A bit of a rocky start as my wife wanted to share a dinner with me. The proprietor was nit having it. He suggested another spot down the way. We each ordered the three course price fix menu and really enjoyed our meal. The total cost for two 3 course meals and a bottle of local wine was 45 euros. A great value for a nice meal. We recommend this spot.
Don't let the decor put you off! Food was absolutely correct and service friendly. High above Troo, opposite the church there's way parking..
