I met the Ferme Auberge du Kastelberg on a family lunch. We shared a marcary meal there. The kitchen is good and the rich dishes. The impeccable service is ensured in a good atmosphere. Access to the inn farm is easily made, after driving a road by car on a short distance. It is possible then to choose, to go down with its vehicle just below and to park in the immediate vicinity of the hostel, but a parking is also available higher which then allows to go on foot, a small walk being always pleasant in good weather. Outside, and in clear weather, a superb view is offered on the surrounding summits. A place I highly recommend.
I think this was my favourite 'ferme-auberge ' of all that we tried while in the Vosges. It 's in a great location with fantastic views, and like many others you can reserve a table inside but have to take your chances outside (and it 's also self-service outside). It 's a small menu but with good local things, served very quickly, and with friendly staff even though they were so busy. A great place.
