Very nice location but unfortunately the positive experience stops it. Service and slightly abrupt and slow. The snails were warm and the veal scalope was too cooked and dry. This was not much better than a cafeteria meal. The deserts looked good but we had not taken it. Beautiful hostel unfortunately the food and service were very disappointing. The snails (snails) while tasty were served lukewarm. My veal scallop was dry and served up with a vegetable medley that weren’t well matched. Unfortunately, this meal resembled more of one that we would find in a cafeteria. The deserts looked good but we didn’t have any.
The auberge itself looks like out of a fairy tale book in the middle of the forest. The retaurant has a pleasant terrasse for eating out in the summer. The interior is very cosy with a big fireplace, wood panneling and regional decoration. The food is unbelievable, beautifully presented, very well cooked and delicious. The service is very friendly. We were there twice and will surely come back often.
Tucked into a col in the northern Vosges, this rural restaurant has enjoyable atmosphere of woodland and home with mix of French and German. Delicious, local foods with strong French influence and being near the Cleebourg Vineyards helps. The earthy mustard sauce with the veal kidneys special fit the place.
Stopped by for lunch and this time they were open. Had the menu, 3 course, she had the menu d'été and I had the menu forestier. Crudité, truite fumée, pintade, sanglier and ice cream. Absolutely excellent! Recommended Book a table now
Eating is delicious, cozy place with excellent customer service. excellent food with very good price. the personal was as friendly, doggy bag to pack as we do not finish eating. you have to try.
