I was Rose C's father when we visited this place on 25 August, and was the one who paid the bill. I was absolutely flabbergasted at the abusive way the owner and his manager spoke to us about leaving food on our plates when we...had finished. When I went to pay the bill the cashier entered €366 onto their card terminal the correct amount including half price for the three children. The manager then came over, deleted it, and re-keyed €429 an extra €63. The receipt was stuffed into my hand. I only realised afterwards on looking at the receipt, that I had been forced to pay the extra €63 to make it full adult price for the three children, as punishment for leaving food on our plates. Tourist style buffet piled high with some average French style salads alongside hamburgers and Chinese stir fry. Very weird. Food was edible but nothing special. Some of the dishes weren’t very nice at all. We got told off by the staff for not eating everything...on our plates. It was like being at school! At the end of the meal the owner harassed my elderly father into paying full price for the 3 children at our table (including one baby who did not eat) as a punishment. The argument resulted in some of our party crying because of the way we were being spoken to. Never had service so bad. The “garden” was just a lawn with some strange sculptures. Waste of time and money. Au revior!

We had my mother’s birthday party at Franck’s place. Fish soup was excellent and the lamb and beans too. A special birthday cake (aux chocolats) was produced ex nihilo during the meal, the restaurant didn’t know it was a birthday party when we arrived....We had lunch in the wine cellar which created a feel good atmosphere. Food is superb, staff very friendly and helpful, the only attention point is that staff was a bit to eager to sell that extra bottle of wine, which we did not refuse but did not really need..

the location is beautiful, beautiful garden and interieur, the wine cellar is an interesting note. but we felt very comfortable here and did not hold back well. as tourist with a decent but not big handle of french, we were treated as if they could not wait to leave us. no time to enjoy a drink before we get our food or get between cursing, the waiter was quite rude and we didn't understand everything he said. Moreover, eating was not so great, definitiw not especially enough to guarantee the bad service.
We had lunch in the garden, funny and joyful service, super view ti the nice garden with potery and steel statues and things. The 3-course menu 35€ was really worth the price, and the cellar where you can explore the wines on your own is...an extra plus which resulted in two interesting local wines
we ate here last night. the restaurant was busy. service was good. that was okay. when we paid, they told us that their credit machine was no longer serviceable. we had luck, we had enough money to pay our bill. very. unprofessional!
that's it. the most beautiful restaurant in maussane, eating is always good. great service and the owner is always present what is good and eating is delicious!
