"When skiing we might drop in here for a drink and sometimes a bite to eat generally a great atmosphere due to the 80's music rocking out : however service can be so so and if it's not sunny and nice then it sucks to sit outside. For lunches/bigger meals we'll typically go to other mountain restaurants."

During a recent week skiing in the Lenzerheide/Arosa area, we stopped in for lunch at Avant Clavo. Bustling with activity and packed full, our server had barely a moment to breathe but retained a good mood and provided good service. With so many people, it did take a bit for the food to arrive... not an eternity but also not quick. It did not disturb, as we enjoyed the break, the view, the sunshine and the good music. Among the items ordered were the Flammkuchen (which was tasty but better to order when sitting inside, as it cooled off quite quickly) and the Gulasch soup. The soup was very tasty, and I'd go back just for that. Portions were generous and prices comparable with other restauran...

There is a good reason that table reservations are recommended the crew and the food have always been outstanding for many years now. The only thing we missed this year on the menue was cheese fondue. We were told that that this was taken off menu due to less staff which is handling the same volume of work. That’s a shame in my view and most probably I won’t be the only guest who missed this on the lunch menu. It is still available in the evening if preordered. Apart from this minor criticism, we enjoyed the efficient and very friendly service, the fair pricing (in Swiss terms), the ambiance and the cool sound. An ideal place for a lunch break or a bit of après ski!

This place is great for having a drink. Super for beginners; they can practice on bottom slopes or Blue ones and meet here. But ... Outdoors better than in and indoors very limited book if you are more than 2 Food is very average indeed think school lunch canteen stuff. Ribs and french fries are the notable exception To get more for your money, go up to Alp Lavoz or for sun and greta food, Motta Hütta on other side of valley

We were a group of 20 people and had good dinner (fondue . Food and ambiente and would be 5 points. But sadly, the owner was very rude, impolite and an absolute no-go, interruping our dinner to rant about us tourists (which bring him all the money... . Check out the other negative rating. We've expiericend exactley the same teatment. Won't come back and certainly wouldn't recommand the place.
