Bad food and bad service. I gave it another shot after getting food poisoning since my family has been coming here for decades. I ordered the flounder and there was no fish just skin and a nasty creamy sauce with some crab. It tasted so fishy my stomach turned. The waitress said the fish was upside down and I hadn't gotten to the fish yet. My dad was there and said how he saw it was so thin and all skin but who wants to argue with a waitress. Overall, I have a favorable impression of this Awful Arthur's location and would gladly recommend it. The service at the bar has consistently been friendly, and the atmosphere is just what you would expect from a raw bar and grill. During my most recent visit, I ordered raw oysters, but unfortunately, they were not properly cleaned or shucked. I noticed quite a bit of dirt and grit on the shells, along with some broken shell fragments inside. Regrettably, while trying to enjoy them with my favorite sauce, I found myself spitting out more grit than I would have liked. That said, I have had some very good experiences with other dishes on the menu.
Amazing seafood combined with friendly service! Although this seafood chain is situated in a hidden corner of Gleneagles Shopping Center, it is definitely a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts. Three people in our group ordered the crab legs and absolutely loved them. My husband also appreciated the impressive beer selection and opted for a local brew. The homemade chips were perfectly crispy—no soggy pieces at all! I was also impressed by the decor, which incorporated natural elements like driftwood and moss, beautifully complementing the nautical theme. We will definitely be adding this spot to our regular dining list.
I had heard horrible things about the one in Midlothian, but a good singer was playing at the West End location, so we went. They serve frozen seafood that seemed to be assemenbled by a 12 year old. The service was extremely slow with 1 bartender also serving the other tables and 1 bartender who seemed disinterested in refilling empty wine and water glasses. The patrons are rude unwelcoming. Will never go back and this place will close by the end of the year like the other location. Just sad.

We spent the entire day at the beach and decided to grab some food from AA on our way home. However, when I got home, I noticed they had added a $6 gratuity to the bill, and I was left puzzled about why that was the case. I had to get out of the car and walk to the window myself to pick up the food—no one delivered it! I really love this restaurant, but this experience was quite disappointing. Food rating: 5/5.
This is a fantastic place for FRESH seafood, featuring great prices and delightful desserts. If you're a seafood enthusiast and haven't visited yet, you absolutely need to give it a try. I intend to go back, and if you haven't experienced it yet, you're in for an amazing first visit!
We miss the Midlothian location but we enjoy the ride over to Henrico to get their delicious seafood. Staff and cleanliness of this restaurant is spot on! Food is always great and cooked just right we do miss the stuffed mushrooms!! Please put it back on the menu.
