I 've briefly been in Rome and enjoyed an excellent 'Spaghetti Gambas ', little did I think such a fine example of Italian cuisine be defeated by a restaurant in Arbroath. At Azzuro myself, my Mother an Uncle 'Big ' Davey had an Italian feast that perhaps trumped all others before it. The place is very old school, reminiscent of the restaurant Gene Hunt and gang hung-out in 80s set 'Ashes to Ashes ' and I mean that as a compliment. No alcohol license, but a BYOB where corkage is applied with the corner shop ten yards away particularly handy for this. Food is tremendous and all made in house, my lobster ravioli was immense and the auld dear 's Spaghetti Gambas (King Prawns) was vastly superio...
