Just had lunch there & it was less than desirable. Service was poor - we were ignored as we walked in (there were only 2 other tables), we sat our selves, got our own menus & were only spoken to when asked if we would like to start a tab & if so a credit card would be required. Any communication with customers seemed an effort to the staff (one stayed behind the bar making flavoured water & the waitress walked around avoiding eye contact with anyone who entered)The food was ok but not worth going back for. Lacked warmth, ambiance & personability. Overall disappointing, would not recommend.
Happy to see a new dog-friendly place in the area. This bar has a lovely, vibrant atmosphere. We came by on a Sunday afternoon and caught the live music. We also took advantage of the happy hour specials ($1.50 oysters, $1.50 arancini and $1 wings). Everything we ordered was delicious! The service was excellent as well. We were served by Jade who gave us some great recommendations for drinks. I'll be back soon for another pint of the rhubarb gose!
We had brunch this Saturday, we found the staff very friendly attentive and helpful. The food was excellent, the big breakfast, the home made beans and the halloumi chips were really great. The place itself was great as well, really inviting comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommend it for Brunch on the weekend. My wife has also been at night time and said the food and atmosphere was great then as well.
Bar No. 5 is just hip. Just cool. And very Inner West, from the warehouse conversion to the little fire out front (The Potting Shed-esque?). Add to that the live music on Sunday afternoons from 3 to 5pm and the accompanying happy hour deal of $1.50 an oyster, $1 a chicken wing, and you’ve found my new favourite spot for a lazy Sunday.

Fantastic venue, quirky with an amazing mix of furnishings, really fun look. Staff very friendly and helpful, advising on drinks and food. Food was excellent and a wide range of dishes to suit everyone. Can't wait to go back, just got to get on a plane to Oz !!
Service was excellent from two friendly and lovely young ladies. Restaurant is spacious and the location is a little surprise. Desserts were little too sweet for me, but lovely food. Overall very nice experience.
This is a great neighbourhood restaurant that caters for lunch, snacks or dinner. Friendly service and good food in an old warehouse that has a good fitout. Good venue if your in the neighbourhood.
Really funky bar tucked away in McCauley street. Nice beer list and reasonable menu. Kiddies options are good. Very cosy place for a warm winter muld wine and cheese.

very average, would not go back. that was fast terrible. disappoint when they go with the family for a nice dinner.
