Having a massive craving for birria and remembering I got recommended this place awhile back, decided to take a trip out. Came around 9PM but the physical location was apparently closed so they redirected us to their food truck located on the street right outside the plaza. With only one experience with birria prior to this visit from another food truck, me and my bf kinda just went on a whim and ordered 4 tacos, 4 mulitas, a quesadilla, and one small consome. Initially shook with a bill of $36 for everything given the typical prenotion of how inexpensive street tacos are, we realized the how justifiable the price was when given what felt like 2lbs worth of food. Pulled up in here to try this Birria, ran into the cashier who was pretty rude in my humble opinion, no thank you or any pleasantries like that, not from this chick. Hurry up and order pretty much and so I did, the food came out rather quick, the guy who brought it out was cool but the condescending and full of herself cashier just left a bad taste in my mouth right off the bat. The Birria itself was good but just ok I thought, I've had a lot of Birria al over town and this was just average if you ask me, would not come back. There are better places out there for Birria and I would suggest you try that instead . See you never .
Food is good but you guys need to do better with the packaging. Unbelievable that someone there really thinks putting drinks in a plastic bag and then putting it inside the food bag is a good idea. At least hand the damn drink to the delivery driver, they don't know that there is a whole friken drink inside the bag. Can't even pour it in another cup to drink it because the paper on the straw dissolves in the drink. This isnt the only time this has happened either. Completely unacceptable.
I’ve visited Birrieria Gonzalez a few times and returned because the food was quite good. However, I’m really disappointed with my order today. The meat had an excessive amount of fat, which was unappetizing. The beans also had a strange smell, almost as if they were old. Additionally, the lemons packaged with the radishes made for a messy experience. Of course, the prices have increased, which isn’t surprising. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

In the area I live by, there's no birria spots area so whenever I'm in the area, I make the drive out here! The best birria tacos I ever had as they are always fillled with meat! The consome is a must and I always order a side of rice to put into the taco too! Service was friendly and staff took all COVID-19 precautions. There are plenty of parking as it's in a shopping center. They also have a truck parked outside their shopping center as well!
Great food but bad services. The workers were kind of rude. Came here with my husband to buy about $100 worth of food and couldn't even get a thank you. Like damn. One of the workers came by and cleaned the table where we were sitting which was great I said thank you 3 different times and she straight up ignored me. She did not even acknowledge us. Next time I'm going to make an order ahead a time to not deal with their lack of customer service.
They can be quite stingy with old lemons and radishes. Be cautious when using your card, as they add an extra dollar charge for card payments. The flavor of the food is good, and the salsa roja is nicely spicy without any hesitation. I've visited more than 10 times and had the Beef Birria, Birria Soft Taco, Birria Taco Dorado, Birria Tacos Mulita, Quesataco, and Tacos Dorados.
This place is highly overrated. We drove all the way from South County for the tacos, but they were lacking in flavor and too expensive. If you're looking for great tacos, I highly recommend El Super Birria in Santa Ana; it's much better.

OMG!!! Delicious Birrea!! Tried the Queso taco Birrea and was yummy. Next time I'm going to try their quesadilla! The horchata was good not too sweet at all just perfect! Will be back!!!
Disappointed. Second time eating here the tacos are falling apart, tortilla really soggy . I will not eat there again.
