The area is generally clean and well-maintained. There is a spacious section for larger dogs and a nicely sized area for smaller breeds. Water is available, along with shaded seating and designated entry and exit points between the different dog-sized areas. You can often find tennis balls lying around for playing fetch. Overall, the cleanliness is commendable—people seem to take responsibility for picking up after their pets, which is an improvement compared to some other places I've been. It's a great spot, but just a heads up: there are no restrooms available, as it's exclusively for dogs—so be prepared to hold it!
The park is lovely, featuring ample shade and plenty of water. However, my visits have been brief due to some negative experiences with other visitors. Despite trying to give it a fair chance on multiple occasions, I often encounter a group of rude older individuals, as well as a woman who seems to be running around discussing ringworm and carrying a large horn for some unknown reason. Additionally, some dogs really shouldn't be brought to the park, as their owners frequently neglect to keep an eye on them, allowing them to roam freely.
We really enjoy this park, but unfortunately, my dog got very sick with hookworms while playing in the small dog area. Does anyone know if they have a regular spraying schedule or what their protocol is? We love the park and just wanted to inform other dog owners about our experience. Our dog ended up throwing up over 20 times, and it ended up costing us $350.
What a fantastic place! It was shady and clean, and I felt completely comfortable with my dog; there were plenty of activities to enjoy. It's a lovely park. As of May 8, 2023, tree trimming is underway, which shows that the park is well-maintained.
