For many years this restaurant has been a favourite for us and many of our friends. Sure it's expensive but the food was always nice and grea for special occasions. Friends told us that it has gone off and boy did we discover just how bad it is. All six of us complained about our meals. Fish was dry and tasteless. Scallops were tiny and dried out. Had to look twice to see if there were any on the shells. Have always enjoyed the steaks with beautiful sauce. Not last night though. All four steaks were fatty and tasteless with no sauce. We had a fabulous Friday lunch on the terrace, enjoying the sun and beautiful view. Our waitress Jen was excellent, very knowledgeable,friendly and obliging. We chose to have the $65, 3 course special which included choices from the normal menu!All food was excellent. We had selections of duck pate, calamari and tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella for entrees. The mains we chose were a seafood platter, salmon and rib eye and Moroccan lamb.For desserts after along break we chose soft centred chocolate mousse, an affogato and a fig and ricotta tart.Everything was fabulous.
Fabulous service, great staff and the food was amazing. Great finish to a huge weekend. Youngest son had his wedding in Palm Beach, so everyone stayed in this fabulous corner of the World, and on the last night we were recommended to have dinner at Barrenjoey House. We were certainly not disappointed. 5 stars from everyone.

Great atmosphere created by waiter tonight ( sorry don't recall his name)...tended to everyone's needs ( including 2 year old)...engaging & fun fellow. Mains ( barramundi ,seafood platter,risotto excellent, starters hit the mark.....dessert sorry ...not the usual stars. But we'll be back to one of our faves. Thanks guys !
I haven't been here for a while as the previous times have been disappointing on the service front. It was vastly improved the waiter was attentive and helpful and the food was tasty and generous in size.We sat in the old part with the fire which I feel has much better ambience on a winters night.
Every one that has been here agreed that this restaurant has the best spot to enjoy sunset while you enjoy your dinner.

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary on 30th June. We were given an upgrade to the suite. The dinner on Thursday night was fabulous.
