we went to Halloween and had lunch first. the homemade cake was excellent, the child chicken was good, but quite expensive for a child at over £8. the headkeeper wore his mask only around his mouth, not around his nose. there was a lot of space around our table. we had to wait until we had to pay. a little short when I think. after our walk, which was very good, we sat outside and ordered coffee and cake, the cake was an individual muffin, that was solid, heavy and not nice to eat, I did not pay for the cake.
The grounds surrounding the hall are beautiful, though somewhat muddy. The interior of the hall is lovely, but we were seated near the door, which made it a bit drafty. While I didn't mind the babies and children crying, the noise was unsettling for my son, who is autistic. The food was fairly average, although the chips were delightful! However, given the cost for what we received, it felt overpriced. I don't think we will return because of the price.
We visited for the Halloween-themed forest path, which was a lot of fun, and ended up staying for an early tee time. The setting is beautiful, with a cozy bar that adds to the ambiance, and the service was exceptional. We really enjoyed our meal, which was not only delicious but also a great value in such a lovely environment. I highly recommend Bartle Hall for both large and small groups.
We visited for the Halloween spooky woodland walk, which was enjoyable, and then stayed for an early tea. The setting is delightful, the bar is cozy, and the service was exceptional. The Spooky Halloween walk was a nice gentle activity with my young family, followed by a lovely lunch in the dining room. My little one particularly enjoyed the Halloween special dessert.
Nice food, had to wait a while to be served. My little girl wasn’t feeling well so we had to leave without doing the Halloween walk which was a shame
Beautiful setting and building. Friendly reception staff Knowledge waiter. Very attentive. Good choice for lunch at a reasonable price.
