the hostess was friendly and greeted us at the arrival. the restaurant itself was demanding and at the same time relaxing. we loved the way and wise how the menu was created. our waiter was knowledgeable and helped us to order exactly what we needed. the brot was great. we followed him with what without doubt the best meatballs I had ever had, swimming in a delicious tomato sauce. after that we shared an amazingly rich pasta and spinat dumplings that were for to die. we finished it with a delicate, juicy, hearty chicken parmesan. my only complaining was that the escaping area in the upper floor was significantly warmer than below. the drinks were also good.

Loved the atmosphere and service. So a unique place where you can explore some of the old remains of the firehouse. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. My spaghetti had too much pepper. The green beings have a tomato sauce that takes from their taste. The rest was okay. The only thing we thought was the eggplant. The sauce for the spinach truffle was also delicious. The server said it was an experimental menu, so we might have gone to a bad time.

Had a great evening at Battalion with colleagues. The restaurant is really unique a former firehouse converted into a restaurant gives it a really cool look and feel, plus there is a fireman's pole so you can look down from the second floor. Pretty cooln I was really impressed by the fresh food and large wine selection. I would absolutely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a nice evening somewhere unique and slightly upscale.

we loved the ambiente and service in this restored firehouse transformed Italian restaurant. everything from brotservice and appetizers to drinks and homemade pasta were great. as an additional bonus overlooks the inner city of san antonio and the tower of the americas.
