We had a long day so the beer and food here were highly anticipated. We started with a couple of Rugen Bräus and I had the steak and my wife had the pork. We also had the Coupe Denmark dessert. The food was hot and well prepared. We loved the meal and the food. It was nice to hear at least three different languages on the tables around us as well. We also came back for breakfast. There is a buffet style breakfast with yogurt, cereals, bread, coffee and orange juice.For dinner we dined inside. For breakfast we ate on the patio. I should also mention this is outside of Interlaken proper, so it was not crowded during our visit.
The Oberländer is special, the hotel is older but well located right on the lake. What is special is the distribution of food and drink. The restaurant was designed to accommodate smokers and the beautiful winter garden was designed for non-smokers to eat. Good solution.
Das Essen war sehr schwer fettig (Spätzle, Rösti). Die Dekoration der Haupspeise und des Desserts mit Blumen/Blüten ansprechend aber nicht wirklich innovativ. Ausserdem benötigt ein Eisbecher nicht wirklich einen Blumenstrauss. Das Glacé enthielt viele Eiskristalle.
Super nice hotel give best hospitality.I got the room which is view direct to the lake. The location is so convenience ,the jet-boat and bus station just in-front of the hotel .The food was amazing. Definitely will come back and recommend to all of my friends .

Charming place, very friendly and great service. Perfect for a night or two. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Decor a little eccentric in places but it adds to the experience. Highly recommended and great value.

Very good food and excellent view! Rösti with cheese and pork escalope are brilliant. We like it and recommend for everybody.
