Went here for dinner and drinks with friends on a Saturday night thinking we could get the courtesy bus home. Food was average, burgers were greasy, fish was good and salads OK but overpriced for pub grub which is what it is. They are still living off the award the previous owners received but standards have dropped. The kicker was the courtesy bus - when we asked when the next one was leaving the staff just said they were canceling it as they were too busy. As there were only about 10 other customers and about 8 staff on if that is busy these guys are in trouble when the 4 Pines opens nearby. Terry Hills tavern until then where they seem to appreciate customers.
Great menu selection reasonably priced , great enclosed play area for kids which is really why we came here... we sat outside in nice enclosed booths with comfy lounge chairs n cushion with a heater, table service food and drinks , split bills no probs, service was fantastic and appears nothing was a problem for them ... my only gripe was we were offered kids packs to which we accepted only to find out they were charged to the bill when we left ...$1.50 each money is not the prob here, I think if they are going to offer they should advise the cost that goes with it...
Visited recently with some friends. It was a Thursday mid-morning so wasn't overly crowded.The kids play area is great, they didn't want to leave! I can imagine it would be a little crazy during school holidays and/or wet weather but a great place to tire out the kids while you can sit down and know they're relatively safe. Obviously still need to keep an eye on them but not easy for them to run away!We ended up staying for lunch and the food was typical pub food, nuggets and chips for the kids/pizza for us but was at a reasonable price.
Went here for dinner tonight after a function with the kids.Waited 45 mins for chicken nuggets and chips. The kids were not happy.How can you stuff up chicken nuggets and chips. Eventually they turned up warm not hot We had to ask the waiter to chase up our meals.Poor attention to customer service ruined what could be a nice place to eat. The ambience is nice.The beer is ordinary, no craft beers only mass produced commercial brands and one four pines on offer. Considering the competition up the road these guys need to lift their game.

Earlier this week we had lunch at the Belrose Hotel and were pleasantly surprised. It is a warm, tastefully decorated dining area, the food selection and quality was very good and the staff were incredible, Very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The salad dressing was exceptional and we were advised that it is champagne vinaigrette. Well worth a visit and they have a lovely area for special occasions named "The Boardroom " which we will definitely utilise at some point in the future. Well done.
We came here when visiting from UK with our son and his family. He explained it was " child friendly" and we were initially concerned as being seniors we did not want to be surrounded by noisy children.The place was great. There is a play area for children but it is away from the main dining area and gives the children a chance to let off steam before eating. The food was of good quality, reasonably priced and served with a smile. A good experience.
Good food, great service, cosy setting & nice price! We've been here a few times & the kids love the food. Garlic sourdough is lovely, salt & pepper squid is also nice. Kids also liked the buffalo wings. Wish they would bring back the prawn linguini. Francis & the staff were excellent
Thought we'd give it one more try and again it's a disappointment. Fish pie was raw, pizzas were worse than Pizza Hut and Burgers are slop. Nice setting though. More and more options in Belrose now thank goodness. Oh and take the "foodies" sign down,...More

I have been here a few times after work for a quick beer with the boys while working in the area. The pub is just very average service ok. I would not go out of my way to visit but is ok for a drink if you are in the area. Just a local pub.
My husband's steak was tough and my salmon salad was basic and overpriced . Found the waitress quite rude also. Very noisy venue.
