"Manager was rude and the place is ridiculous. You haven?t seen a proper brewery restaurant, have you? They got lots of people waiting in queue for half an hour before the manager (who got no idea whatsoever) told all that ?the waiting time is going to be1.5 hrs?. You are an absolute joke!"

One of the superior brewpubs in Montreal and the best one in the west end. Terrific enlarged beer garden on corner of Sherbrooke St. and Jeanne-Mance. The American Brown paired nicely with my Rueben Sandwich plate. I first asked for theWeizenbock but the server said that the keg had just been changed and he felt that it was not up to standard. Without myasking, he brought me a taster of it and I thought it was fine. But they are sticklers for quality here. Over the years, thebeer quality and range has just better and better. I took a can of Saison to go to watch a soccer game. Also, top quality. This is a required stop for any brewpub traveler and I make sure I am on its terrace every month...

Benelux has been a favourite microbrewery for me for over fifteen years. They're conveniently close to McGill. They have a nice warm ambiance and the music isn't too loud—it does not at all interfere with conversation. Best of all, their beers are delicious. I think they made me start to enjoy beer really. Their snacks are pricey but tasty. If you're a fan of olives, try those! Their hotdogs are popular—large with a crunchy bun. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Great place to meet a friend or colleague, and an ideal choice for a first date.

Benelux is one of my go to bar in Montreal. The beer is good quality and the staff is very educated on explaining each beer and their ingredients. The one which I 'll recommend to try is Lux Blonde (white beer) and Placebo (Lager). Both of them taste goodand have a good alcohol ratio too. A must place to add to your places to go if you 're visiting Montréal.
