First off. The restaurant was busy. So we expected a little chaos. We were sat down and ordered drinks which arrived promptly. We ordered food and, two of us were a little unsure so we suggested our friends ordered first to which the waiter commented ‘I don’t care who orders first really’. We put our order in but I now had a bad taste. Our starter arrived, my friends prawn puree had 1 single prawn in it, my partners prawn purée had a couple of prawns. So we didn’t like the lack of consistency. Our mains arrived, and the food was tasty, good portion sizes. Oftentimes, Indian restaurants can put too much out that it gets wasted but we ate the majority of our food. I hadn’t finished eating but...
I typically don't write reviews unless something is truly outstanding, and I must say that the Bengal is definitely worth a try. My daughter and I decided to dine at the Bengal, and we were not disappointed. I ordered the Tandoori mixed grill, which was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered the chicken Bhuna, which she also thoroughly enjoyed. Communication and ordering were straightforward, and the food arrived within the expected time frame. We were both satisfied and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We highly recommend the Bengal and will definitely be returning in the future.
The food at the restaurant was amazing, but the service was very slow last night. The restaurant seemed to be prioritizing takeout orders, causing us to wait for over an hour before receiving our main courses. We had to send back our main courses when they arrived before our starters, but they were of high quality. Overall, the evening was spoiled by the long wait for our food - it took 2 and a half hours for a two-course curry. The waiters apologized for the poor service, making me think that this was a rare occurrence as previous visits had never been this delayed.
I have been dining at this restaurant for over twenty-three years, and it never disappoints. The service is always welcoming, even when the restaurant is busy, and Lisa, who has been working here for as long as I can remember, is always attentive and efficient. The other staff members are also wonderful, and the food is consistently perfect. The standout dishes are the delicious vegetable sides, so be sure to try them instead of loading up on rice or naan. Arrived on a Thursday evening for the £12.50 deal which for Indian food is good value!! We were sat down and our drink order was taking drinks arrived then we made our food order. The food came out in good time didn't take too long and wasn't rushed!! All the food tasted good atmosphere was good and staff were polite and patient!! Would recommend and would go back!!
From ringing up and booking my table up the moment we left when the door was opened for us what a lovely first experience in this restaurant The staff was so friendly , so clean , the food was excellent and very tasty and was happy to help when my husband wanted to try something different to what he usually goes for Absolutely wonderful and we will be back

I decided I’d try a meal delivered to my home address. It was delivered hot, on time and was the best I’ve ever eaten. The food was spiced to perfection. Would recommend and will definitely use again and again.

So impressed with our local Bengal restaurant. Food was 5 star and absolutely the best I've had in a long time. Very enjoyable. Perfect service, lovely staff. Best in Ramsey and highly recommended.
