Re opened, refurbished and back with a bang! A classic thatched country pub which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to more than its former glory, with new owners and new management. It now features a wonderful and sizeable pub garden with stunning views over the Cambridgeshire countryside with the quaint addition of Highland Cows who seem to enjoy watching the customers! Having been for drinks and food now on a couple of occasions, the menu is sophisticated, tasty with plenty of variety. If you're enjoying a drink in the garden, for nibbles, I highly recommend the cheese fritters they compliment a cool glass of Prosecco perfectly. There is an extensive wine list and a selection...
great Sunday dinner. all had the faint that was tender and tasty. perfectly cooked vegetables. I'm always hesitant to roast away from home, but that's the best I can remember. it is not the cheapest, but they pay for quality. hopefully, the new owners and the team are able to get it a success as plan.
amazing eating. had the black pudding and stabbed eierstarter. roast sirloin pornstar and rhubarb, ingwer and hazelnut crumble for dessert. all on all 3 of my plates was delicious, already this place was recommended to my colleagues!
Enjoyed an excellent Saturday Set Lunch menu today with friends. Lovely setting, attentive staff and good food. (BTW the hunting scene wallpaper is long gone replaced by more modern muted colours)
