My partner and I ordered a takeaway from the shop (set meal for 2 total price £24.95) This was clearly shown on the menu. When paying for the meal I was told “that’s £24.95” I questioned their deal of 15% off on their flier for collection and was told “sorry mate that doesn’t apply for set meals” I reiterate no where in your advertisement does it suggest this? His response was, “yeh that was for our 10th anniversary last year” I made it clear as a company you shouldn’t be advertising something you are not willing to commit too and especially a promotion. This takeaway did used to be pretty good but has got progressively worse over our last three orders. Last nights offering was barely lukewarm on arrival, 45 minutes later than stated (over 2 hour wait). The food was pretty shocking, prawns and meat over cooked, flavourless tandoori, jalfrezi with no flavour and a ridiculous amount of heat, awful nans, stuffed purata with no fillings I could go on. All I can think is this place must have changed hands as although we have had the occasional average meal over many years of custom, nothing has been quite as consistently bad as recent offerings. Sorry to say but we will no longer be ordering from them.
We have been loyal customers of Maharaja for a while now. The food has always been delicious and arrived hot in a well-packaged box. The portion sizes were also generous. However, our recent experience was disappointing as we received small portions of cold, greasy food in a plastic bag. When I called the restaurant, I was informed that there has been a change in ownership and chef. This came as a surprise to us. Unfortunately, we will not be placing any more orders until there is another change in ownership.
I placed an order online around 6:20pm, but the food didn't arrive until 9pm and was cold. I tried calling the restaurant that evening and since, but no one answered. They also haven't responded to my emails requesting a refund. This wasn't the first time we've noticed a decline in the food quality, and after spending thousands of dollars here in the past for large parties, this is the last straw. We won't be ordering from this restaurant anymore. Book a table now
We have been using Maharaja for 3 years now and it has always been a very tasty meal for a very good value. We always order the set meal for two, you get lots of food and it's all so yum! We have recommended many people to this Indian and every single one of them have always been very happy with the food and service. We moved just under a year ago but still continue to use them as they are by far the best Indian takeaway we have found!
Food was very nice, great portions and prices OK; all wrapped really well so did come pretty warm to the house, and the online ordering service great. Online ordering also gave 20% off main dishes Only grumble would be standard website saying delivery would be 40-60, and only stating it would be estimated at 80 minutes after order was confirmed and paid. But it was a peak Saturday evening we we should have planned better
Absolute best Indian takeaway. We recently moved further away and still always order from here because nothing beats it. Best value for money, best tasting Indian and great service.

Had a lovely set meal for 2 from here great price as well,£23.50. if you ordered separately would come to £41.50. Will be ordering again.
