Its rare for me to be motivated to leave a review but this was an amazing experience. The location is, of course, spectacular with easy access to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. However, it’s the amazing team I’d like to thank...for making us feel part of the family. Martin and his team, Andy, James and Charlene are the most hard working and friendly people you could wish to spend time with. They are friendly, warm, funny, interesting and have charmed us to the point where we will be going back as often as time and funds allow. Martin’s skill in the kitchen provided us with fantastic food at breakfast and dinner, his knowledge of all things Scottish legendary, but above a...

My partner and I stayed for one night and ate in the bar. I can honestly say that the Sunday roast was was THE best roast beef dinner I've ever had. Succulent beef, cooked to perfection that melted in the mouth. Served with a giant...home-made Yorkie, tatties, chipolatas, lashings of gravy and I think we counted at least different veggies. The fish chips was huge, obviously very fresh and delicious light batter with a mountain of fries. Only complaint was we had no room for pudding! We also enjoyed a few pints and the company of the staff and locals for the night. Great traditional hotel bar. Will definitely return once it's back to normal with the promise of live music and a bustling atmosp...
Thank you to Andy and Charlene for making us so welcome. We booked a cottage for the week and visited the hotel many times, the food was amazing the Sunday roast was huge but absolutely delicious haddock goujons to die for also my husband...had the curry with nan bread poppadoms also delicious. We would just like to say thank you for your hospitality hope to see you again soon. (Yes sir I can boogie) Sandra and Raymond Glasgow
hidden from the main street, this place is not what it seems when they arrive. we had a drink in the bar before dinner and moved to the dining room. the workers were all pleasant, the choice of food was limited. we had lessons from everyone. that was the famous steak pie frae drumnadrochit. in portions were large, the quality of eating was good. worth a visit. book them in advance as they probably don't get a table. visit was amazing not everything was as it seemed ... the photos do not do the food justice. Was the pie Fray Bentos??? Food and service was that good we re-booked for our Sunday lunch... again it was amazing. The Ribeye melted in your...mouth was served slightly differently to the weekday menu. It included a Yorkshire pudding, chipolata sausages, home made stuffing, roast and mash potatoes, and seasonal veg.
Thank you to the lovely Charlene and team! After hour's drive from Cambridgeshire what more could we ask for?? A friendly welcome, outstanding home cooked food and beer brewed on site, plus a very impressive whiskey selection!! Thoroughly recommend this fab pub.
We ate here twice recently both times the food was perfectly cooked and piping hot. Portions are generous too. There are a good selection of draught ales and cider to wash it down with and lovely friendly staff. Win, win, win.
we are back at our third visit in the opposite. they are less hours open and currently serve a reduced menu due to personal shortage, but the standard is still high. Book a table now

"Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course."

"Very poor quality food. My two children couldn’t eat anything of the very limited offer on “curry only” night, sadly reminiscent of school dinners!"
