We stayed at this hotel and also have dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. It is a great location, very nicely furnished and has a beautiful mountain view. The menu is also very charming with a simple but good wine selection. The service was also... very good, the dish is beautifully decorated BUT the taste was not so incredible. Maybe our expectation increased as soon as we saw the dishes, who knows. All in all I enjoyed the place and would go back there, but the taste is not unforgettable...

Wir waren gestern Abend zu viert zum Essen. Eines vorneweg: wunderschöne Gegend zum wandern und Ausflüge.Zurück zum Restaurant:Sehr freundlicher, netter und zuvorkommender Service. Note 1+Die Speisekarte sehr übersichtlich und überschaubar. Die Preise im mittleren Segment.Die Qualität des Essens war durchweg hervorragend. Wir waren alle vier sehr zufrieden.Also nur zu empfehlen und genießen.
Wir haben im Berggasthof Bärnstatt 2 Nächte verbracht. Dies war als Zwischenstop nach Südtirol gedacht, War also ohne größere Ansprüche. Ein längerer Urlaub ist absolut empfehlenswert wg. toller Lage, leckerem Essen und gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

Auf dem Weg zum Hintersteiner See gelegen, machten wir Halt um fangfrische Forelle zu essen. Ein absoluter Genuß welchen man unbedingt erlebt haben muß. Die Bedienung war freundlich und die Preise sind angemessen. Wir kommen gern wieder.
We had a very pleasant lunch here. The food was delicious. The staff is very helpful and flexible. We recommend the Kaiserscharn one of the best in the Wilder Kaiser region; and we have tried a lot!
Netter Berggasthof, in ruhiger Lage, zwischen Scheffau und dem Hintersteiner See gelegen. Das Essen ist ok und der Service freundlich.
