Unfortunately this outwardly charming cafe has now topped my list as the #1 place to avoid in Australia! What seemed like a lovely idea for brunch was met with a list of prescribed rules that we, as customers, must follow. 1) DO NOT move any of the outdoor furniture (in bold letters plastered to a tree outside)...because god forbid you might want to sit with your friends or fit a baby's highchair in!2) 'In the interests of integrity, no menu changes are permitted'...because god forbid you might not like caviar on your eggs!3) No split bills (unless you are paying in cash)...although I would be keen for them to explain how a split bill works when paying in cash...4) Oh, and wait...they don't a...

This is an attractive cafe, although very noisy and cramped. As per the previous review, the toilets are very clean and well appointed. However, the aesthetics do not make up for the poor service and unwillingness to allow for dietary restrictions. If you have any issues with allergies or food intolerances, this is NOT the place for you.I am unable to eat certain foods as I have a serious medical condition which requires diligent attention to diet. The waitress was not willing to oblige in any way and when I asked to speak to someone else to plead my case, I was informed that they could not help me and she pointed to the statement on the menu regarding 'No changes or alterations/deletions to...

Meet here with a friend every now and then as it is one of her favourites. On our recent visit we both enjoyed our meal very much, Zucchini fritters and the Salmon and Egg on Sourdough. The highlight for me this time was the delicious Lemongrass and Ginger tea. Usually I find it insulting to tea drinkers to be served tea via a teabag, but this teabag was amazing and is imported from the US. Down side of this place is the noise and squishy tables. I dislike tables for two that are pushed right to the wall and have little space between diners chairs. Staff friendliness can be hit or miss and we had one of each this time. Mind you the friendly girl was absolutely delightful and we left with goo...

Clean, fresh decor and quite busy on a Sunday midday. So we opted for a table outside which was lovely with a bit of winter sun. Really interesting menu with many options and a change from the standard brunch fare! Prosciutto Eggs which was a platter of prosciutto, fried eggs, eggplant and Camembert and it was great, a perfect brunch kind of dish. Lobster salad which was lobster tail with brioche and a tangy salad, topped with caviar....also good. Their coffees were excellent. But I have to say that I was most impressed when a man came along the street selling trinkets for charity and our waiter took the time to go back inside and find some cash to support him, in spite of being busy. Nice to... Book a table now

Nice friendly service that was very quick. We were here for breakfast on a Friday morning and it was quite busy, but all the staff had it under control. The atmosphere is nice, soft music playing in the background and the temperature was just right inside. The serves are quite big, we co0uld not finish ours. The only negative is that they don't have freshly squeezed juices - that was disappointing. The zucchini fritters were delicious as was the eggs with avocado and smoked salmon.

Without a doubt the worst cafe I've been to in a long time. The service was shocking, the food was on the expensive side but lacked flavour, didn't enjoy our meal at all. I've heard bad things about this cafe before, but as a local I decided to try it out, wish I hadn't. So many better options to go for breakfast than here in the Surrey hills/Canterbury/Camberwell area.

The food is nice and service here is pleasant and prompt. However the noise indoors when only half full is loud and when it's full unbearable.A canvas awning outside for those that wish to escape the noise would be appreciated. If the staff can be given Ted Baker dresses I'm sure even cheap umbrellas could be afforded.

As one of my friends says "always go to the toilet first. If the toilet is clean we can stay". The toilets are very clean and it is a good place. Service, coffee and cakes were good but they forgot to bring sugar and a glass of water. They have a minimum of $15 for credit card and they don't take Amex. Book a table now

Had brunch with friends and was very impressed, then coffee was first class and the food better. The owners should be very proud of this busy little cafe, every detail was spot on. The decor is fresh and even the wait staff was in u inform. We will be back
