It's pretty rare that I write a review unless I have a terrible experience or a great experience. This one was somewhere in between. We came in without about 2 hours to kill to get some lunch. We ordered a Mexican Coffee, Wings, Loaded Fries, and shrimp/grits. Despite having the majority of the tables open when we got there the hostess seemed very confused on where to seat us (party of 3) once we were sat the waiter greeted us quickly and took our order. We did have to ask multiple times for simple requests like creamer on the side for the coffee and a to go box. The food was pretty good. I really liked the shrimp and how the wings were cooked. My only complaints would be overpriced beverages and slow kitchen. Food was great (I had fried catfish over yellow rice and a bean 'ragout ' . Server was nice and the music and atmosphere were nice. UPDATE (YEARS LATER I had fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and the carvers coffee. Everything 10/10.
This was such a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. Great atmosphere, delicious food and a friendly staff... the dining trifecta!
