I have never had soul food this bad. First time customer and got the pulled pork with mashed potatoes and candied yams. I was craving baked mac n cheese and decided to stop here only for them to say that they?re out of mac n cheese. The pulled pork wassour and the bbq sauce on it was very watered down. Not to mention that it was quite a wait for the food only for it to be lukewarm and sour. The mashed potatoes came in a container and was very cold. It was as if it was leftovers they had in arefrigerator the whole day and decided to take it out for my order without warming it up. The only thing that was acceptable wasthe candied yams.

First off fries are stale, flavorless, not even a pinch of salt. Seems like you getthese at the grocery store from the frozen aisle. The fish was just laughable. No flavor, not crispy and definitely not fresh.How does a ?soul food? spot mess up sweet yams. Avoid this place, you?d be happier with a bagel and cream cheese. Avoid thisplace. To the owners do better.

Something about the filet made me know it was frozen fish. The string beans were ok but again not seasoned. I?ve been one other time as more satisfied

I ordered an Oxtail dinner and a Rib Dinner. For this to be a Black owned business the food was unsatisfying. Very Very bland. I dined there for the first time on Wednesday night and was very pleased with the experience. The fish and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was excellent, complementing both the fish and shrimp beautifully. You won't be disappointed if you give them a try!
Horrible food. Taste like Boxed galic mash potatoes and boxed shrimp. Horrible pork chops, not seasoned. String beans very undesirable. Catfish was so so, but i wouldn't buy any of it again. Complete waste of money except for the carrot cake and redvelvet cake.

I really enjoy visiting Bobby's BBQ in Freeport. It's a family-owned and Black-owned business. They offer a $5 lunch special until 3 PM, which includes one meat and one side. They also make smoothies and sell alkaline water.
The service at this restaurant is exceptional! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious as well!
