I was visiting from out of town and stumbled on this place and decided to come because of my and my husband's love of Greek food. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Portions are out of control, and everything was so fresh and good. Could not finish it all because there was enough to eat off our plates for three meals! No exaggeration. We ate at the high table facing the windows, and we had a great time people watching on a busy Friday night. Will definitely return when in the DC area. Can't wait to devour my leftovers! I went here cause of the great reviews. Unfortunately, I think they applied to gyros. I made the mistake of ordering the moussaka. Not only was it rather flavorless but there was an inch of thick bland béchamel custard. And the roasted potatoes were dry w no flavor of garlic or lemon. Service friendly, clean small place. But the deal breaker for me is they don’t recycle all the paper and plastic products used, which I think is a crime in this day and age. Hole in the wall store with some of the best Greek food ever. There is something about their soft but slightly crispy pita bread that hits the spot . Every Wednesday they have $5 gyro specials! I'm not the biggest fan of gyros but I would say this is one of my favorite gyro joints. Additionally their eggplant lasagna type dish with a side of green beans was pretty tasty as well. My delivery driver accidentally dropped part of my order, but what I received was still delicious. The Grilled Lamb Chops were a little fatty this time, though the flavor remained excellent. The Tiramisu is prepackaged and nothing memorable. Portion sizes feel a bit small given the price. However, the Famous Gyro Pita Sandwich and salads offer good value, and I would recommend them.

I'll be honest. It's a tight fit in the restaurant. But it feels like a trip to Greece. From the candy to the menu itself, it's a cool place you can have an impromptu great lunch. Like a place you take someone who you'd like to share a secret with. Right off of colesville, it's got its own sauce which is the perfect compliment for fries. Try the crazy fries : thank me later

At Big Greek Cafe, the lamb chops were delicious and generously portioned. The dolmades and spanakopita from the menu were also excellent. However, the Greek French fries were soggy and not recommended. Overall, the meal was very enjoyable.
Ordered takeout via DoorDash, and this is some of the BEST Greek food I?ve had. We ordered big Greek bowls, which were enough to feed us for lunch the next day as well. Don?t sleep on the falafel!

Went today for the 6.00 Gyro. It was delish. Glad I ordered two, especially at that price. I would definitely come back another day to try something different.
