My family and I always eat here every year on Father?s Day and we are never disappointed. The food is outstanding. You cannot go wrong ordering anything on the menu and the Father?s Day buffet is unmatched in quality and quantity of food. We had a tremendous waitress today who was very attentive even though we were enjoying the self serve buffet. I do not think any of us had an empty glass of tea or water during our entire visit. Run don?t walk to Biggs.
Discovered this barbecue joint while in Lawrence for a show at the Lied Center. I had the Burnt End burger and it was excellent! Loved the french fries also. They had a good kids menu too and it was all reasonably priced. If you are in Lawrence and looking for a great meal, try Bigg's BBQ!
The ribs were unbelievably tender, and the chicken skin was crispy and flavorful. The brisket wasn't as juicy as I prefer, but it was still delicious. The pulled pork was great, too. I enjoyed the jalapeno cornbread muffin and the fried pickles (which came as spears and not chips).
