I fell in love with Mom Pop Diners many years ago. My father and I fish in every way out of the way lakes and rivers and like fishermen want, we would go very early. We would always stop breakfast at the first mom pop dinner. Most were tiny, with simple but good food. Most of them were scratches. And it was always cheap. Whether Bill's is a Mom Pop, or a Greasy Spoon Diner is for the debate, yet the place is tiny, with maybe four or five stands and a very small U-shaped counter that makes for an intimate experience.
