If you live in the area then this could be a place you go for brunch. Definitely not a destination place after a long drive. It's a bar that does brunch too. We came on a Sunday morning and was the 2nd table seated. There was only one waitress taking care of the 2 tables but even so it took over 10 minutes before she came back after seating us to ask if we wanted coffee. Then another 10 minutes she came back with the coffee and the cold crumb cake basket. Then another 10 minutes before she took our orders. I recently attended a retirement party at this BK Sweeney location, and I had mixed feelings about the venue. The layout of the restaurant caused some separation among guests, which made it feel less cohesive for a party atmosphere. However, I understand that this isn’t the restaurant’s fault. I visited B.K. Sweeney's Parkside Tavern with a few friends for dinner and drinks, and unfortunately, I was disappointed. The evening started off on a positive note with quick seating and attentive drink service. The appetizers were quite tasty, and our first round of drinks arrived promptly. However, when our dinner orders were served, I struggled to get through my Sauerbraten from their German Oktoberfest special menu. The beef was incredibly dry, and the potato pancakes were overcooked. Moreover, my drinks were not refilled often, leaving me with empty glasses for quite some time. While it's a nice spot to enjoy drinks and appetizers at the bar, I wouldn't recommend dining there.

This type of Bar is a dying breed! Great beer, great food, all reasonably priced but most of all it's the heart of Bethpage!!! This is where the neighborhood comes to see old friends on or around holidays. I guess I crave that because my NYC neighborhood became deadly dangerous in the 80's! Everyone left and I never saw them again! Here the same people have been here for 2-3 generations and there's something to be admired about that. Come see the love here and you'll understand!
I recently visited this restaurant for a retirement party with a large group. The venue is spacious, features outdoor seating, and managed our crowd of union workers very efficiently. The service was excellent, and the drinks kept coming. While I didn't sample much of the catered food, I did try a bit of the salad, which was surprisingly tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it was clear that the restaurant had its fair share of regular patrons.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The steak and ribs were amazing, and the mashed potatoes tasted authentic and delicious. I dined in for lunch, and the service was excellent. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. For just $20–30 per person, you can't go wrong. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5!
Definitely a local Bethpage bar. Loads of sports moms and dads celebrating their kids' wins over a pint.. food was alright, I had the fish and chips. It was super oily.. my husband enjoyed the French dip, which was much more delicious! Parking: Park in the back. Service: Dine in
