Black Horse Inn - Table reservation

Believe it or not, our recommendation for this gorgeous century inn came from a table mat! My parents have a set of famous English pubs' placemats and this is one of them. As we happened to be in the area, visiting the superb Cotswolds...Distillery, we thought we'd better try it. The Black Horse serves Thai food. A lot of pubs that are converted into restaurants lose their pub character altogether and I was a bit concerned that the Black Horse might be one of them. However, I am delighted to say that the bar and lounge areas still represent a good, traditional English pub with a cosy atmosphere and, by all appearances, a thriving trade entirely separately from the restaurant. this Thai restaurant is a hidden gem and is located in the black horse inn. that is the second time that we visited at a weekend and I really wished it was in front of our doorstep. eating is amazing, so tasty and service. was fantastic. I can't expect to visit again.

what a jewel of a place. hidden in shipston on stour. old fashion pub, good friendly service and fantastic Thai cuisine to cheap trips. traditional ales and a beautiful glass New Zealand sauvignon blanc served by the glass. what more can they want..

while the initial greeting and eating and service was excellent by the thai we were very disappointed by the renters comments as we were gone, no need

beautiful meal served by excellent staff. very good value, they love the mixed starters! husband has always singapur nudels in various forms!
