block house always has a pretty good standard. with the steaks there you can do a lot wrong, but I have the impression that they have become a little lazy in this filial. in the high season it is almost always full, but instead of giving the waiting something to drink (as in other filials), they tell them to come back in 20 minutes... and then they tell them the same 20 minutes later. the service is also a bit more focused on ease. I am sure that their accounting is satisfied, but most customers can get an equally good steak and a better experience elsewhere.
I know the Blockhaus in Frankfurt and I am a guest there for many years.The concept (its a chain of I believe around 50 restaurants in Germany and they sell their products in supermarkets is clear and its easy.Nice staff,cosy interior,a simple and clear menu.Food...is always good and is perfect for if you are alone,a couple or with family and kids.So a great place to eat meat with no strange surprises. Only problem is the do not have and never had mayonaise for my french fries : But thats my problem being Dutch.So all good.

Hostess was very accommodating despite the 20 minute wait out in the cold to be seated. 4 stars out of 5 since there was no way for quests to keep warm while waiting. I also appreciated the precautions taken because of Covid. Food was hot and arrived at the table within 10 minutes of ordering.

This was one of the few restaurants in Westerland that had a complete menu in English. The food was good, but slightly overpriced. It was so busy, but the service was good.

I am here several times for business dinner with employees and all really enjoyed the steaks. it is indescribable delicious!
