Very disappointing visit for lunch as although the cafe itself was big and very clean and reasonably comfortable the menu was boring and the sandwiches which we had were nothing short of purely monotonious, made and served with nothing except the chosen filling on boring bread, no salad or crisps eg added to the plate or into the sandwich itself. Smacked of easy, use chicken and add it into whatever sauce the customer has chosen and slap it on brown or white bread. The soup we had was really nice and I would give them full marks for this but alas would not return I am sorry to say and we had made a special trip from Fife to visit the garden centre

We visited at 1.00 p.m. when the restaurant was very busy. There were lots of staff on duty all of whom were pleasant and courteous. We were served quickly and our table was cleared and cleaned before we sat down. Our meals were brought to our table in less than 10 minutes. We had Cajun chicken wrap and baked potato with chicken mayonnaise. Both were very tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant is bright, modern and very clean. The toilets were modern and spotlessly clean, quite remarkable given the probable number of customers using them today. A very good experience and a visit is highly recommended.
The food was so disappointing. We ordered a baked potato with prawn Marie rose. The potato was undercooked. We also had the Cajun chicken burger, which wasn’t actually a burger it was a full chicken breast that I think had been deep fried, even the outside of the brioche bun was greasy. Another member of our party had the macaron cheese which they couldn’t fault. Tables hasn’t been cleared so we had to clear one ourselves to be able to sit down and eat. Normally we would have complained about the food but we were visiting someone in the hospital close by and had to get back to them quickly.
Positives: The service was great, really quick despite being fairly busy and the staff seemed friendly. Nice large room, spaced out really well so it’s not overwhelmingly noisy. Carrot cake was tasty. Good selection of cakes and coffees Negatives: pretty expensive, I got a cajun wrap that was either 7 or 8 and didn’t even come with chips or crisps. Had a wee side salad and sloppy coleslaw. The wrap itself was pretty tasteless and very sloppy as well. Would come back for coffee and cake but probably not for lunch Book a table now
We visited Blossom restaurant in the Torwood garden centre recently just as they were preparing for close down. My father is diabetic and his blood sugar level had dropped quickly so we needed to get him something to eat. Jackie went out of her way to make him a sandwich. In fact she made sandwiches for the three of us despite the kitchen being closed. All the staff in this restaurant were friendly and empathetic. The service was fantastic and a credit to the garden centre. Many thanks
We made a reservation for Christmas Lunch and we were blown away by the top-notch service and meal! The soup choices and prawn cocktail starters were fantastic, and the Christmas main course was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. We all had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely book again for Christmas 2023!
I took my two daughters out for afternoon tea on Mother's Day and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The food and service were top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a wonderful atmosphere. I especially loved the memory tree with the charming little plants as an extra touch.
I have always enjoyed going to this restaurant for coffee and a scone in the afternoon, but recently I noticed a change. The scones used to be covered, but now they are displayed on a cake stand in the open. This makes me uncomfortable as people in the line walk by very closely. It's a bit off-putting. Book a table now
Lovely food and service, the quiche and salad was really good and my wife said she really enjoyed the steak pie (packed full of meat) Prices are slightly more expensive than the norm…and I refused to buy a wee bottle of irn bru at £2.45 !… what a mark up on that.
Has a lovely afternoon tea this afternoon. And big shout out to the member of staff who cleared up the floor when my friend accidentally knocked over her teapot. He was so kind and understanding.
