We had the opportunity to eat lunch at BLU atmosphere was ok. We sat for 30 minutes the hostess came out and asked us if we had been served yet and said she would get the server for us to place our drink order. After we placed our order we finally got our drinks. The adult beverages had ice in them the waters did not. Very little alcohol was in the drinks. When the food finally arrived after we had sat there for an hour, we were told there was not any steak sauce of any kind nor any other sauces. I stayed here over this past weekend and decided to order to-go from here on the last night. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, the truffled potatoes, and a coke. It came out to $30. I took my order to the room and was very disappointed. The potatoes were missing the aioli, the seasoning, it looked like they just cut up some potatoes threw some cheese on top and sent it on its way. The Caesar salad states it comes with Caesar dressing but there was none and the salad just looked very sad. Especially for $15. I went back down there and they just acted like this was normal??? Absolutely wonderful experience! Blu Beach Grill offers breathtaking views and a prime location, though parking can be somewhat challenging. The staff was attentive, and the food was fresh, simple, and delicious. The guacamole, salsa, and queso trio was beautifully served. The roasted cauliflower appetizer was a definite highlight! Both the fish and seafood were fresh and expertly prepared, and the fried chicken sandwich was generous and flavorful. The steak was outstanding. The wine list was carefully selected, and the key lime cake was tasty, though on the smaller side. Overall, it's a fantastic place to relax, enjoy the ocean view, and savor great food.
Steaks were decent, swordfish good, as was the salmon salad and steak skewers. Calamari was decent and nacho appetizer was basic for the kids. Outdoor and indoor dining available.... patio next to pool is a little loud and detracts from the nice sunsets. Service good for the times (summer 2021). Walked from neighborhood with street parking a few blocks away. Turtle cheesecake for desert was better than the local ice cream shop.

We visited Blu Beach Grill during our winter trip to Folly Beach and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The staff were incredibly friendly, and since we arrived right when they opened, the place was empty, which was perfect for us. We enjoyed delicious dishes while taking in the stunning view of Folly Beach.
The atmosphere is great! We loved the view. The service was slow and got walked by multiple time and finally had to say something. We finally got our food and it was cold. We revisited and the same thing happened. I’m hoping it was just due to the lack of staffing.
The service was somewhat slow, probably because they were short-staffed. Still, the food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. I especially enjoyed the calamari sticks—they were incredibly fresh! I could happily have fish tacos every day!
It took a while for us to get waited on and was not a big fan of the fish. Tasted like fish sticks. There wasn't any seasoning. I had higher hopes for this restaurant. The drinks were good though, so I'll be back for those during a beach day.

This is the restaurant in the Tides Hotel. The service was spot on, attentive and polite. Nice choices on the menu. Food came out in a timely manner. We don’t have one complaint. We thoroughly enjoyed our last night here at the hotel.
