For me, a good Thai restaurant has to have good fish cakes. Blue Chilli has great fish cakes. And very friendly but low key service. Plenty of interesting things on the menu in addition to regular Thai favourites - King Prawn salad with orange pieces, BBQ king prawns with snowpea and soy bean salad, Legendary Duck. If it's too much to choose from, the classic noodles are great - Pad See Iw is another favourite. Just a warning - the salt and pepper squid entree is huge, best consumed by more than one person.We live nearby and there are five other Thai restaurants within one kilometre but we keep coming back to Blue Chilli.
A family member chose this restaurant for lunch. I was dreading the meal as the last time we ate here it was a less than exciting food experience (mind you this was at least 2 years back so maybe owners / chef's have changed) but this time we came away very impressed. The portions were large and the food was tasty, especially the "Blue Chilli Noodle's". We have tried two other Thai restaurants along this strip and have never returned. But we will definitely return to this particular restaurant.
This place was great when it was under old management and called Star of Thailand. Our latest visit it was called Blue Chilli and the food is still terrific and great value. It was very un-busy which I hope does not mean they won't make a go of it because the food is great and so is the service. Makes me salivate just thinking about next time we'll eat here. There are other Thai places in Gladesville but this one will not disappoint.
Blue Chili is a great Thai restaurant on the Gladesville dining strip. Very well presented with friendly and welcoming staff, they have a good menu providing the usual Thai favorites as well a good number of chefs and house specials. Generous servings of freshly prepared meals with a great depth of flavour. Reasonable prices topped off a very enjoyable family dinner outing.

Went here on Friday night with a friend. We didn't book, but that wasn't a problem. We had duck pancakes to start. Yummy! Then shared massaman beef, and chicken penang curries. We could've been more adventurous but that's what we felt like and it didn't disappoint. Very reasonably priced and service was good too.
We've been going tho this place for some time now and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and the staff and service is always first class. We usually get takeaway, but eating in at the restaurant is an enjoyable experience too. Excellent choice for a local Thai restaurant.
Having lived 20 years in Asia, I eat a lot of Thai. Blue Chilli is right up there. I love the Sate Tofu and the Dancing Crab. The food is fantastic and beats the high standard set by Iyara which is 2 minutes away.
Modern Thai food with good service in a nice and clean setting. Best curry puffs I have ever had (no corn). There are a few dishes I have not found elsewhere.

Been three times now and no misses yet. Great food. Great service. Well priced. Not too busy or noisy which we love but give it time and it will be!
Really good thai food! Tasted even better the next day. Best thing we orded was the massamum beef curry for sure.
