Great first time culinary experience. The atmosphere is warm n stone, especially the covered terrace with heating. The menu options are great. The sushi roll presentation was as delicious as the actual sushi taste. The kitchen menu with beef slices on hot plate at the table was both delicious and entertaining. The garlic edamame and gyoza were both delicious appetizers. It was impressive not only to see a sachet and wine list, but also a whisky list on the menu. The service was very professional n friendly. Emily was a big server that answered all our questions with patience and a smile. She was on top and made our culinary experience a plus. We will definitely return to Blue Ocean for more...
The food was delicious. My favourite was the chief specialist Tempura Roll. We sat at the Sushi Bar and the cook was very courteous that he made us a special role that was absolutely wonderful. He even suggested some things from the menu that were also very good. I would say that our server in the bar only checked for us once. She didn't drop our water or even get around to see if we needed anything else. However the food was so good I do not let the bad attention of our server affect the evaluation. It was a busy Saturday night and we barely waited for food and didn't wait for space. About everything I would certainly come back and recommend to friends and family.
I really enjoyed our visit we initially didn't have this place on the list for dinner but when there was an hour wait next door we came here and it was bomb. My daughters had not had sushi so this was a good introduction, a few order Terriyaki mealsbbut I ordered a few rolls lobster spicy salmon dragon and wife ordered cali roll. The food was bomb and tasty we left with full bellies definitely will try again.
Came on Mother's Day and it was only 20 minutes waiting. (Zum Grill on the street for a cocktail) The menu is big and prices soooo reasonable! The Bao rolls were great, and the sushi was fresh. Beautiful time and even if they were exchanged, we got a good service.
