Watch this space...... Those of us who have missed Blues' food offerings for the last year or so, plus of course all the Covid lock-down shenanigans, will no doubt be pleased to know, if they haven't already seen it on the bar's Facebook page, that come Easter the pizza oven will be back in action. Hopefully the kitchen will be offering other culinary delights too that, as in previous years, will return the bar to its position as an excellent Crosby evening dining destination that has been sadly missed, as well as providing shoppers with tasty food during the day.
Called in for breakfast, the menu has now changed and is pretty dull and basic but we stayed anyway. The service is painfully slow, especially when there was only one other table in. We ordered our food, eventually, and then waited another 50 minutes for it to turn up. As I said the menu is basic, iterations of the same ‘full English’, so the wait was really uncalled for. Also the prices now don’t match the quality of the food 2 tiny poached eggs on white bread with a sad flourish of a pea shoot for £8. Quite disappointed given how good it used to be
The staff really need training on how to work with COVID situation. About 3 different waitresses unnecessarily came over to us before we even got our food menu. Their customer service could do with changing as well. They all looked like they couldn’t be bothered being there and were very unhelpful. When we left because we was sick of waiting for a food menu the bill was thrown down on to the table.
We were fortunate to dine at Blues for their buffet. The food prepared by Jack and his kitchen was the best buffet we have ever had. The exceptional quality of the food, especially the lasagne, was praised by everyone at the tables. The staff were attentive and provided excellent, quick service. We enjoyed our experience so much that we will definitely be returning.

Just had a fabulous meal in Blues tonight. Excellent service from the lovely Phillippa. Delicious food prepared by Jack.Tapas was piping hot,served at perfect intervals as requested. Best meal anywhere in a long time. Keep doing what you are doing guys! Support your local businesses please,they need us more than ever in these difficult times. Thank you Blues x
Upon arriving in Crosby, we stumbled upon this restaurant with available seating. A friendly young girl served us, but we were unsure if we were supposed to order at the bar or wait at our table. The meals were decent, although mine was inconsistent in temperature. Despite tasting good, we found the prices to be a bit high for the portion sizes.
If blues bar wasn’t the hot spot of crosby I do believe they would be in a dire situation because the disgusting attitude of the staff would be enough to turn many people away. They have double standards for their regulars who are allowed 10 to a table during COVID but others are threatened with being kicked out for asking for another drink.
First visit was a bit of a disappointment as the ovens weren’t working when we arrived not there fault and I was given vouchers to use at a later date as this was my birthday meal Second visit food was great service ok will visit again

We recently enjoyed a wonderful night at Blues Bar. The small plates were excellent, the service was great, and we had a few drinks. We felt very safe and welcomed.
