Totally overpriced for what is it.... a pub on a wharf.... not a flashy restaurant... wear thongs. Cost $50 for one side dish (mash $7 , bruschetta (TINY TINY SERVE of 3 pieces for $12 2 wines and a tempura veggies (TEMPURA ONION???? Who serves Tempura onion... and 4 pieces of it???? ..totally not worth it. ps $7 mash potato WHAT THE? Food was average, bruschetta small, tempura veggies meh, mash potato meh. We had to have side dishes and entrees to share as there was maybe one vegetarian dish which cost an arm and a whole leg to the hip bone.... and meh... I would rather eat heinz spaghetti on toast. At night time you can't see the view... so not worth it. Go somewhere else better for less m...
From the moment we entered the restaurant, we experienced top-notch service - from being offered a table by the water instead of our assigned one, to taking our orders and serving our meals. The food was exceptional! The Barramundi and Salmon were cooked perfectly and arrived at our table hot and fresh. And the highlight was definitely the sticky date pudding dessert! It was possibly the best we have ever had, and it arrived hot and fresh as well. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant!
I made a reservation online and needed to make a change, but the staff had no problem accommodating me. Upon arrival, I was checked in easily and seated at my preferred table with plenty of seating. The entire dining experience, from the kitchen to the table, was enjoyable. The food was better than expected, and the staff checked in with us midway through the meal to ensure we were satisfied. This tavern is great and I will definitely be returning. I have already recommended it to others.
This was our first family dinner out in a few years. We have visited this restaurant a few times before and love the great atmosphere with various seating options including sports, indoor dining, or dining outside on the deck overlooking the water. The kids' meals are large, but the bread dip platter could use more variety for the price. The crispy chicken and vegetarian pizza were both delicious. Overall, it's a great spot for families, friends, or even a date night.

Very overpriced, for what you get, and quality of food so very average, sure they only have a cook, not a chef, service is oui service pay up front, and go to bar to get your drinks, rather go to a restaurant if spending this type of money... Total waste of time.. PS drinks are over priced in comparison to other pubs!
good food and good value. our family celebration recently eaten on boardwalk tavern and we had good size and delicious meals. there is an excellent varied menu for all age groups, eating was fresh and the staff was very friendly and helpful. we'll do it again.
Have had the unfortunate displeasure of eating at this tavern. The food is over priced and very average. I would say it's very basic pub food at restaurant prices. My advice is that there are a lot better places to eat in this area than the Boardwalk Tavern.
Fantastic service every time we have been, the food is great and a very large selection from Curry to steak pie, kids meals are reasonably priced and great portion sizes too, cocktails are lovely and the views are Amazing!!

Cooking just like Grandmas.. Hard potatoes and over boiled veges. Extremely disappointed with the food and venue. No table cloths, dirty cutlery and lacking ambience. So much potential for a water side tavern.
Good seafood, relaxing atmosphere. Prices are not too bad either. Bar menu is always available which is nice.
