"I went there last Friday at once. Coffee was just ok and not bad. However, the staffs were so unkind. The service is more important for coffee shops and the boss should educate their staffs regularly. It is very unpleasant cafe."

Disappointing. I was looking forward to a yummy sweet treat after my burger meal at BL burgers but was disappointed. Bourke street bakery has several locations in Sydney and is located next to BL burgers on Church street, Parramatta. It has seating available inside and outside. We just ordered a couple of desserts to take out as we had limited options as most desserts were sold out. We purchased a pear and custard danish and lemon curd tart. We also purchased house made old school lemonade, pear vanilla iced tea and iced chocolate milk. The danish was disappointing as the pastry wasn't light and crispy, the custard was okay and wasn't too sweet which I liked. The pears were yummy, swe...

Another Bourke Street Bakery outlet in Parramatta Square which is undergoing a physical transformation. The outlet sits next to the Town Hall and Bicentenary Memorial Fountain and provides a calming contrast with the boisterous noise emanating from the construction site. I was working on a project in Parramatta and my colleagues decided to drop by the bakery for a drink (I don't really like BSB but majority wins). I got myself an orange juice and a pear rhubarb muffin. The muffin was dry, hard and lacked fluffiness and softness. I guessed that was what happened when majority of your bakery goods were not baked in-house and the franchise opened too quickly without proper quality control.

Have heard rave reviews of this place and went here to try some of their cake selection. My friend and I ordered the ricotta and lemon cake and got it for takeaway cause the cafe was busy with seats already filled. The staff were friendly and service was quick and packaging for the food was convenient too. The cake was light and fluffy, having a subtle lemon and ricotta taste to it. It tasted really plain, which made it disappointing to eat. I did however liked the crusty feel of the cake. I don't know if I'll ever come back here. Maybe I'll try their other assortment of baked goodies and coffee for next time.
