The food as always was amazing, we sat outside and once the sun starting setting the area was not hot or muggy feeling. My boyfriend had not come to the restaurant before but my family comes often. He enjoyed his food and his favorite part like myself is the fresh bread! The Okra was okay but still a little tough as well as a couple of my potatoes. We think the alcoholic drinks are expensive for the amount provided but they were still good and tasted the same as other places, so the only complaint is the cost for the drinks. The setting and scenery was beautiful and the service from everyone working was top tier. He enjoyed the experience so it was a win.
Unique restaurant with great food but not so great service. We had the rib-eye and the scallops and they were both phenomenal, zero complaints about the food whatsoever. But our waiter would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time, resulting in us being in the restaurant much longer than we would have liked. It got to a point where it became frustrating since we couldn’t get anything or ask any questions. We were in the restaurant for over 2 hours and saw our waiter a total of 5 times. When you live a plant-based life and visit a restaurant that provides a vegetarian option, most often, the dish feels like an afterthought. My experience at Brave New was far from that!!! Excellent as always. We sat the deck overlooking the river and watching the hummingbirds. It was a little warm last night but the deck was shaded and the lite breeze kept us comfortable.
The heirloom tomato appetizer was delicious and very large!! We had the coffee rubbed pork loin and tomato risotto and okra. It was tasty although the okra was not my favorite.
Great service, wonderful food, perfect spot to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary!
