I like crepes. I like galettes. But not sure if i like a three course meal based on them. It's probably me. But you can have too much. That said. They do them exceptionally well. The fillings are varied and the lagoustine one I had was really good. For dessert the apple, almond and chocolate one again was seriously good. I just felt that I had eaten way too many carbs in a meal. Not a bad thing but perhaps some more non crepe options other than the oysters. The wine was good. The cider was excellent. The service was very good. We were tired and hungry and the food came promptly and was fresh.
Breizh Cafe is a temple to crepes - France's national comfort food. They have outposts in nearby Saint Malo, Paris and even Tokyo now, but the original is the best, coming with a view over the Mont Saint Michel Bay, and the option to start your meal with the day's oysters. The crepes and savoury gallettes really are excellent here. In Paris, you need to queue to get into any of their places, but its always pretty easy to get a last minute reservation here. The Japanese restaurant upstairs is excellent, and the guestrooms one of the best kept accommodation secrets in Cancale.
We arrived early on a rainy night and this was a cozy, easy, quick place to have crepes for dinner. They were tasty thought nothing that would lead me to understand the fame this place has (sadly, we didn't get to try the Table de Breizh as it was closed that day). But definitely a sold pick in Cancale if you are tired of oysters and mussels and want to try something else. Very inexpensive.
The Japanese restaurant upstair which we experienced last summer was quite stylish. Today we tried the crêperieIt was OK, nothing social except the great localisation.To feel any bit of Japanese influence you have at least to try the green tea ice cream which is not that special.The marketing positioning is rather smart but nothing real Japanese at the end of the day.Ok place.

As it offers only galettes and crepes, breizh cafe proposes a large choice of fillings, such as ones with seaweed, others with unbelievable vegetables or even oysters! The best thing you can do is trying! Enjoy a warm dinner out in this cosy restaurant where waiters show attention and cooks have a fast "flick of the wrist" ! :)
The sarrasin crêpes (galettes) are excellent, but the restaurant fell short on service speed and friendliness. The butter sugar crêpes for desert hardly had butter in them and did not taste like anything special. The cider selection is impressive.
I love galettes and crepes in Brittany and have never had better ones than here - especially their specialty galettes. Well worth paying the extra price
Nice place. The galettes are good but lack some salted butter in it. Good menu. Nice decoration. A secure address not to miss if you are in town.

I would call this a high end creperie. A bit more expensive than a regular one, but the choices are different and delicious.
